Assistant coach Abhishek Nair has been dropped from the team after a tenure of only eight months amid complaints of dressing room leak. Nair was taken action despite the team winning the Champions Trophy recently in Dubai. It is being told that in the review meeting held after the BGT series, a complaint was made of confidential information related to the dressing room, after which this decision was taken.

Fielding coaches & trainers were also removed

Along with Abhishek Nair, fielding coach T. Dilip and trainer Soham Desai have also been removed from the team. Dilip and Soham were associated with the team for more than three years. He is currently associated with the IPL team Punjab Kings and has also worked with Kolkata Knight Riders from 2008 to 2019.

Support staff will be cut

The Indian team will visit England in June, where five Test matches will be played. Before that the team's support staff is being cut. According to sources, this change was part of the plan for a long time and the focus of BCCI is now on creating a compact support system.

Preparation for major changes in central contract

The BCCI is also preparing for major changes in the central contracts of the men's team. New contracts of the women's team have already been released, but the list of men's team has not been announced yet.
